This page is deliberately uncomfortable to read. Betting is a negative-sum activity in the long run, understanding settlement does not change that, and nothing written here converts a losing bet into a recoverable one. The rest of the site is mechanics; this page is the boundary around it.

No operator, bookmaker, exchange, result feed, regulator or dispute body is named, ranked or reviewed here. No page promises that a bet will win, that a void will be reversed, that a deduction will be repaid, or that any settlement should be different from the one the rules produce.
The risk

The rules that actually govern
Where this site and the betting rules on your account differ, the rules on your account govern. Market definitions, result sources, void and abandoned rules, dead-heat divisors, deduction scales, each-way place terms, cash-out conditions and correction periods are all set by the operator you use, together with the rules of the sport or competition, and they change over time.
